Statement
"I have always known what would interest me visually as an artist, and this was to paint the familiar stuff. During the turn of of the millenium, I was able to find my voice as an artist while focusing on narrative still-life painting. Every painting is an attempt to document a glimpse of observation of the world around me. Imagery often presents itself during occurrences of daily life. Light, colour, perspective and composition are vital elements that become an integral part of the work. A great deal of my artwork takes a narrative approach while surveying aspects of popular and mass culture, consumerism, world events and paying homage to artistic luminaries.
